Singleness today is still actively frowned upon by many people by possibly the majority of the population. I’ve seen it so often during the times I’ve been in single. Even when you’re truly happy many people simply gaze at you with unapologetic pity. It’s almost as though they are itching to sputter the “oh so typical words out of the blue. “You’ll find someone,” they ofen say. Did I say I was looking for anyone?
The reasons for someone being single are many and can range from someone simple not being able to find someone, not being a good catch, having too many issues or choosing to go at it it by choice. It’s the latter scenario that either confuses or aggravates some people to the point that they would scoff or attack the innocently single.
Maybe their strong belief in relationships stems from the hundreds of “happily ever movies” they’ve see. Or maybe it’s based on how they personally feel about love through their own experiences or what they’ve read in the Bible. But none of it justifies what someone else may feel. In this sense it is wrong for judging someone for making a personal choice in their life pertaining to their relationship status.
As you will see in the video below, some single people may actually have good reasons for being single. And furthermore, many are quite capable of loving more than those who judge.
